Improve discovery

SEO · Local visibility · Technical health

Care and measurement support the work after launch. The right starting point depends on what you already have.

Start with the problem

You do not need a technical brief to begin.

Choose the priority closest to yours. This is a starting guide, not a fixed recommendation: the right scope depends on your existing tools, customers and constraints.

What needs to improve first?

Your starting point

Start with the website journey

Look at what visitors need to understand, what evidence they need to trust you, and how they enquire or buy. A clearer structure and better content may matter more than adding features.

Useful to bring

Which pages lose people? What should a visitor do next? Bring your current URL and one priority audience.

Design, development & care

The customer experience.
The operation behind it.

A service is the work you engage us to do. A system is a capability inside the result—such as booking, checkout or a customer portal. One project can combine several, but each needs a clear purpose.

01 / DELIVERY

Websites & commerce

Make the next customer decision easier.

A business website should explain your offer, earn trust and make the next step obvious. An online store adds product discovery, ordering and payment. We scope the journey first: who is visiting, what they need to decide, and what happens after an enquiry or purchase.

A good fit when
A new business presence, an unclear or dated site, a product catalogue, or a store whose buying journey needs work.
What to scope
Page structure, content requirements, interface design, responsive development, forms and agreed commerce or third-party integrations. A redesign also needs a plan for existing URLs and content.

Before you commit: If the real problem is customers not finding an otherwise useful site, investigate search visibility before commissioning a complete rebuild.

02 / DELIVERY

Software & connected systems

Turn scattered steps into a working process.

Portals, dashboards and business platforms bring people, information and actions into one workflow. The brief starts with roles and permissions: who can see a record, who can change it, who approves the next step, and how an exception is resolved.

A good fit when
Teams re-entering the same information, customers chasing updates, approvals hidden in messages, or a workflow that standard tools cannot support well.
What to scope
Workflow mapping, data structure, customer and staff screens, permissions, integration requirements and acceptance checks. Migration, reporting and external API limits need their own scope.

Before you commit: Custom software is not automatically the best answer. If an existing product handles the core process, configuration or a smaller integration may be the better investment.

03 / DELIVERY

Mobile apps

Build around a task people return to.

An app earns its place on a phone when it makes a recurring task meaningfully easier. Start with the user’s context: short sessions, interruptions, connectivity, accessibility and the information needed on the move. The customer interface is only part of the product; staff tools and backend services need planning too.

A good fit when
Repeat-use customer journeys, field workflows, member experiences or tasks that depend on suitable device capabilities.
What to scope
User flows, an interactive prototype, platform requirements, interface development and the backend or integrations needed by the agreed features. Store submission, account access and release responsibilities belong in the proposal.

Before you commit: Compare an app with a responsive web experience before choosing platforms. Offline use, notifications and device access should be explicit requirements, not assumed extras.

04 / DELIVERY

Hosting, domains & ongoing care

Keep ownership and upkeep clear after launch.

A launched site still needs someone responsible for its environment, renewals and changes. Care begins with an inventory of the platform and its dependencies, so routine maintenance is separated from new features, content work and larger upgrades.

A good fit when
Businesses that want a clear point of responsibility for website upkeep, or need to understand the condition of an existing site before taking it forward.
What to scope
Agree the hosting arrangement, domain responsibilities, update process, backup and recovery expectations, and how support requests are handled. An existing site needs a compatibility and access review before a takeover is agreed.

Before you commit: Ask what is included, what is charged separately and who controls the accounts. Do not assume that hosting includes redesigns, SEO activity or unlimited development.

Marketing & search visibility

A useful website still needs to be found.

Search marketing connects what your business offers with the questions people actually search for. The starting point is evidence: what can be crawled and indexed, which pages answer the right intent, and whether visitors have a clear path to enquire.

Our marketing work centres on SEO. The audit determines the priorities; it does not assume that every business needs a rebuild or the same monthly work.

SEO programmes

A coordinated plan for technical improvements, content, site structure and measurement. Suitable when the issues cross several areas and need an ongoing sequence of work.

Decide what to buy

Different work. Different measures of success.

Website or store

Can visitors understand, trust and act?

Agree the key pages, purchase or enquiry journey, content responsibilities and launch checks.

Software or app

Can people complete the real workflow?

Agree roles, permissions, normal and exception paths, integrations and user acceptance criteria.

SEO

Can the right pages be found, and what happens after a visit?

Establish a baseline, record implemented changes and review search visibility alongside meaningful enquiries.

Ongoing care

Is the agreed maintenance being handled?

Define responsibilities, recurring work, escalation and what counts as an additional change.

A combined engagement should still separate these responsibilities. A site launch is not proof of SEO results, and more traffic is not proof that a workflow works. Decide how each part will be accepted and measured before work begins.

Look at the work

The wider gallery also contains concept prototypes, labelled separately from client work. Interface examples demonstrate design and functionality; they are not claims about a client’s revenue or search performance.

Before a proposal

Make the first conversation useful.

Start small enough to describe clearly. Bring the current situation, the desired change and the constraints. We can then discuss which service fits and what needs to be investigated before a scope is agreed.

Discuss your project
Can you help if I do not know which service I need?

Yes. Start with one business problem, the people affected and the outcome you want. A current website, a workflow example or a short screen recording is more useful than a long feature wish list. We can use that context to discuss whether the next step is a build, an improvement or an audit.

Can development and SEO be part of the same project?

They can be coordinated, but they solve different problems and should have explicit deliverables. Development covers the experience and implementation. SEO covers search discovery, relevant content, technical priorities and measurement. For a rebuild, agree URL handling and measurement before launch rather than adding them afterward.

Do I need a new website before starting SEO?

Not necessarily. An existing site may need targeted technical repairs, better service content or a clearer enquiry path. A free SEO audit is a useful starting point. If the platform prevents necessary changes, discuss those constraints before deciding whether a rebuild is justified.

How are scope, price and timing decided?

Website package inclusions are available on our pricing page. App, software and integration work depends on roles, workflows, data and external systems. Agree the deliverables, acceptance criteria, dependencies and change process in the proposal. A budget range and any real deadline help make the initial discussion practical.

Can you work with our existing tools or team?

Bring the names of the systems involved and explain who maintains them. Integration feasibility depends on available APIs, permissions, data quality and third-party terms. We need to establish those constraints before promising a connection or a migration. Your content, operations and technical owners should be part of that discussion.

What should we prepare before getting in touch?

Share your website if you have one, the main problem, the people who use the service, your current tools and any budget or deadline constraints. For SEO, include the services and locations you want to be found for. Keep credentials out of the initial message; account access can be arranged through an appropriate process later.
